This goes over the first pack Alpha in the first chapter, part one. While part 2 will go over more the history of the pack, I always thought it best to go over the first pack leader and then the rest next as to show (briefly) who started every thing. In other histories you will see that everything is marked in different chapters, like the history of the Erebo could be chapter 2.
History of the Kypo Pack, Lords of the Frozen Path
Chapter 1, Part 1: History of the Kypo Pack and the Winter Breeze
In the Northern region of Zamora thrives the ever colder Kypo Wolves. In this region known as the Twin Poles, it is nothing but arctic and snowy woods, a treacherous place to live with little sources of food and warmth. The wolves of that land grew harsh with their environment, and to help upkeep both warmth and survival they repopulated with numerous smaller packs. As they did so, they had plenty of time to learn of their ability to use the essence of ice, being in their environment and being much smarter than most others, the Kypo found easier ways to hunt and had use their powers to form igloo's from the ongoing blizzards and rough winters.
In the beginning it was that, survival of the fittest, some packs even committing cannibalism just to get by. Before the rise of the Kypo, there were four main packs. The Winter Breeze who was the largest of the four and most strongest; the Ravaged Glacier who was used as a breeding pack of females by the Winter Breeze; the Soft Wind who opposed the Winter Breeze for liberation; the Grey Coats who were slave hunters for the Winter Breeze.
In a final effort the Soft Wind had led an assault upon the castle of the much larger pack but to no avail as they were all slaughtered within minutes, and their home counter assaulted and females turned into breeders and males and pups killed off. In the aftermath a lone newborn had been left behind with nothing but his own hide. A bobcat by the name of Genku had seen the lone pup and took him in as a son as he too had lost many things to the Winter Breeze.
This pup was given the name Sengveda, and was promised by Genku that he was the chosen Alpha of the packs, that he would unify them into a powerful society. Sengveda had a dream of that and worked hard everyday to attain such a grand dream, and when he was ready to enter adulthood Genku who too used the power of Ice not only taught Sengveda of his own power but also furthered his own abilities.
Eventually, Genku disappeared, leaving behind a young Sengveda, who in turn left the home to finally challenge the Alpha of the Winter Breeze. Once Sengveda confronted his adversary, to which the Alpha laughed but accepted the challenge. In moments, the Alpha had his head torn off by the force of the stranger, leaving those gathered in shock and awe. The tyranny of the Winter Breeze was brought to an end, Sengveda bringing order and claiming a new peaceful era. However not many were too pleased with the new way.
Years later when Sengveda was an old wolf, a large portion of the pack had turned on him. They took turns injuring him then dumping the former Alpha in an arctic ocean. Overnight in the instance of death, something both magical and terrifying happened. A dream of Genku granting him power and death awakened a force within his heart. Sengveda had risen from the ocean bed and above the surface, his fur turned a pale white, his eyes carrying the essence of winter.
The white wolf had knowledge of power and technique he never knew, he was younger and stronger. He used them throughout the night to better understand them. Once he felt comfortable with them he returned to the pack only to find they had returned to their violent ways once more, even the slaves were happy with this way of life. Angered, Sengveda used his powers to raise ice blades from the ground and impaled every last of the pack members. After a half day he proceeded to the destroyed pack and found several pups and frightened mothers. He gave them two options, either stay here and die or follow him to a better life. With little choice, the survivors followed the white wolf into the wilderness.
Finally, the small group of wolves came across a well preserved castle where they would claim as the new home for their kind. It provided a shelter from the snow storms and was plentiful in space. Sengveda renamed the remnants of the Winter Breeze into the Kypo pack as a new start.
In the ongoing years the pack grew with new struggles, however each member were smart enough to understand the situation and deal with it quickly and carefully. Sengveda in that time had fully developed his unique powers, further expanding and absorbing both territory and smaller packs of the Twin Poles.
Wanting to reach beyond his strength, Sengveda had underwent traumatic exercises and practices which many would consider both unorthodox and unholy. Eventually the white wolf had attained strength beyond his own, preserving and training his body to better acclimate it. Perfecting it, Sengveda had tested the power on an open area, leveling even sea beneath the ice. He was astonished and returned to his pack, to little thought of consequences that followed this minor event.
