This place was new to her, but Arashi knew it was the one she'd been seeking. The place her parents had fled many moons before, when she and her siblings still grew within her mother's womb. This was Zamora, a place where five packs reigned, divided rather than united. But it was only a matter of time before Arashi saw to that. Uniting wolves that had so long been divided was not a thing that could be rushed. First she would need to gather her own pack, the likes of which the wolves of this place had never seen. A pack that would accept the outsiders of other places. This place was very unlike the one she had come from in many ways, and yet surviving anywhere started the same way. With hunting. Food was by far one of the most important elements of sustaining life. And so Arashi had hunted, and now, the poor rabbit who had managed to become her prey hung limply in her jaws, the fresh taste of it's blood easing over her tongue as she padded along with her dinner. It had been a sunny day, and there wasn't much Arashi liked about sunny days, but at least it usually made hunting significantly easier on one's own. She found a soft, grassy spot to lay, where the sound of a nearby stream sung softly in her ears. She began to eat, a soft snarling sound naturally emitting from her to warn anything nearby not to bother trying to steal her meal. As she ate she pondered how she would begin here. Perhaps the rogues would be the best place to begin with, loners shoved out of the pack lifestyle. Often times, wolves like that would be happy to have someone watching their pack. After all, there is strength in numbers.

Ratonhnhake:ton
The tragedy of life is not death but what we let die inside of us while we live..
Gray eyes scanned the area before them taking in everything that there was to see. Ears twitched back and forth as if listening for something in particular but when nothing but the gentle and calming sounds of nature met his ears the rustic male moved forwards.
Ratonhnhake:ton was known for staying in his den and only venturing out if darkness had claimed the forest or if he was in dire need of herbs and unfortunately for this brute it was time to collect some herbs and wishing to avoid certain wolves in his pack the male took a way that they seldom took and found himself in rogue territory,or unclaimed lands.
The scents that tickled his nose made him sigh a breath of relief as he moved steadily along the ground paws falling silently on the ground. Raton knew this forest like the underside of his paw and knew exactly where to find the herbs he would need to replenish his stocks and so he set in that direction, little knowing there was a rogue that he'd stumble up. The stream is where some grew and therefore his paws carried him towards it and as he moved he felt his heart lighten and the heavy weight of overwhelming fear was lifted off of his shoulders leaving him to step lightly and more joyously. How curious it is to feel so much lighter and free out here then he did in his home and the crushing realization hit him like a crashing wave.
He, while loving it, found himself hating his pack life. Fearing every corner that he turned and loathing every moment he had to breath the same air as his tormentor.
Reaching his destination, Ratonhnhake:ton began to sniff around and that was when he caught the fresh scent of blood. A surge of anxiety flooded over him and his head shot up and his eyes swept over the area. Among the smell of blood was the sweet scent of a rogue, female at that.
Tensing, Ratonhnhake:ton began to follow the scent till he caught sight of the figure in a grassy opening gnawing at the creature who had met its fate.
Parting his jaws he was about to speak when he felt the anxiety choke him and he found himself speechless. He was a wolf of few words and hardly found an interest in speaking, especially to females - One might say he was slightly afraid of them. Slowly he began to back up hoping with all hope that she had not caught sight or sniff of him.

Tucked away in a den unknown to the pack slept a large mass of black fur so black it blended in with the darkness. Breathing evenly, the chest of the mass rose and fell. Dreaming of his mothers beautiful face, his father has he taught him to hunt, and then the nightmare broke loose. Panic struck the shape in the darkness hard, making the once even breathing ragged as the shape twitched and flitched. The face of this shape twisted up in anger and fear as in the dream it ran. Calling out for a lost soul as snow pelted down from the dark skies. Howls could be heard but the maker never seen. Further and further the howls moved and soon where gone. “No”, a lone howl sounded. It was then the mass of darkness jerked and jumped to it’s paws in a battle stance.Tail curled tightly over its back and fangs bared. Silver eyes wide as it looked around for the lost soul, breathing heavy. This was the nightmare that tormented the Alpha of Erebros, Tenebris.
Sighing, the brute dropped his stance and head and silently made his solitary way to the throne room. Shaking his head,”no, not right now”, he thought to himself. He was in no mood for others of the moment. No mood to be the alpha of a pack. So silently and quickly Tenebris made a dash for the open temple doors and out into the forest. His mad dash pushing him away from the temple and the nightmare he faced every night when his eyes closed. Willing himself faster he raced out into the Zamora Forest. Everything was a blur as he whisked by trees and shrubbery. Panting the ebony brute only came to a slow trot. It was then that he realized where he was. It was a stream that he and his sister would play in as pups. He growled audibly and cursed,”damn it, why does she have to be everywhere?” Taking a deep breath Tenebris decided to follow the stream.
Only after a few moments of walking the bank of the water did he smell something different. One a scent he had never smelled before and the other of an Erebros wolf. The alpha tossed his tail over his back and moved forward with a determined stride. It was then that he spotted Raton, a lead healer, spying on an unknown fae. Moving up behind Raton he spoke in an authoritative voice,”may I ask why you are spying on a rogue while she eats her meal?” Silvery eyes looked between the two. Now he wanted to know whom she was. He stepped past the healer and made his presences known to the rogue as he stood on the other side of the stream from her. Tail high and ears alert he cleared his throat and waited for her to finish her meal before their conversation began. For even though he was of Erebros, he had manners.

It became very apparent that Arashi was no longer alone quite quickly. The first thing to alert her was the rather powerful stench of fear, though the sensation that she was being watched was quick to follow. Her body tensed for a brief moment as she continued to eat her rabbit, ready to unleash a string of attacks at a moment's notice. However, no such attack came, and her body relaxed again slightly as she quickly began to gobble down the rest of her food, knowing that she may only have seconds more before being interrupted. She was powerful and ready for a fight, but if there were more wolves nearby that she couldn't smell she could very well find herself in trouble if she were to end up fighting a pack wolf. Then she heard a voice, though she was unable to quite make out what it said through the rather loud sound of devouring prey rattling around her head. Practically as soon as the last bit of rabbit slid down her throat, a large male wolf stepped into sight on the other side of the stream from her. Arashi rose to her paws, ears angled forward and head held high.
She sized the newcomer up. Male-the mentally weaker sex, and yet often physically a thread-and quite large. Arashi herself was quite large for a female wolf of any breed, but this male was practically gigantic. Arashi wasn't going to let size, intimidate her however. She stepped up to the edge of the stream, inhaling deeply. No, there was definitely more than one of them on the other side, and there was a similar scent about them. Her good eye flickered about briefly until she spotted a second wolf, anther male, barely larger than herself. Arashi smirked slightly, her challenging gaze meeting the more massive stranger's.
"Are the wolves of the packs here so cowardly that they need to sneak up on a lone wolf in groups?"
Her posture rivaled Tenebris' in every way. Tail high, ears forward, and radiating a sense of authority. She spoke as a lone wolf but stood as an alpha might. There was no wavering in the gaze of her good eye, completely focused this stranger with intent. Her nostrils were flaring, seeking scents that might give her hints about how many wolves were here and where they might be from. A sudden glimmer of recognition entered her expression as she realized a familiar note to the scent. She knew exactly what pack these wolves were from. In fact, the scent was so familiar to her it was a wonder she hadn't recognized it more quickly. They could only be wolves of the Erebos pack; her mother's own pack before she'd run off.
"What business would pack wolves even have with a lone wolf like myself? Just looking for a weakling to pick on? If so, you've made the wrong choice."

Ratonhnhake:ton
The tragedy of life is not death but what we let die inside of us while we live..
Every muscle tensed in his body when he heard his Alpha's voice. What was Tenebris doing here? Glancing at his Alpha the brute flattened his ears and lowered his head. He had not been spying had it not been for the stench of blood in the air he would never have cared to even look at the female.
"I was looking for herbs.." was all he said as his gray eyes traveled back towards the female a weary feeling passing over him. This female was much larger then he was and he could tell by looking at her that she wasn't one to mess with and just as he was about to move back he noted his Alpha moving forwards and with a look of dismay he tried to utter a few words but again found himself unable to speak just one and maybe it was a good thing for the female had stood up and moved towards the stream.
And then she spoke.
Her voice and her words sent a fire through the male and he glared almost defiantly at her. He was no coward no matter how much he refused to speak or participate in battle or arguments for that matter. Laying his ears flat he look towards his Alpha. What would he do? Tenebris was one of Authority and no one dared to challenge that even if they weren't sure as to why.
"Tenebris.." the male finally choked out the Alpha's name but failed to say anymore as the sound of his own voice even seemed to irritate him. Foreign and dry was it to him.
Blinking rapidly he glanced from one to the other and feeling a strange tension between the two he began backing up again and uttering "I have herbs to collect." he said in a soft tone that was just above a whisper. "Please excuse me." he added

Tenebris could see that this fae was a rather large one, even in her slumped state. He was quiet as she ate her meal and finished, but now she stood face to face with him. Her stance the one of an alpha, he had to admit, she sure gave off the power of one. It was when she said she was a rogue that the ebony brute arched a brow at her. He almost would have taken her as an alpha had she not spoken of her lone presences.
Her question made a small sly grin pull at the edges of his black lips,”well, I say, you could have almost had me for a fool I almost took you are a true alpha and to answer your question, no we don’t. I just happen to find my healer here as he stumbled upon you while eating. He wished not to disturb you.”
He could tell she was a smart one, but he was a true alpha. He had no reason to fear anyone or anything. Much less anyone as a rogue. Tenebris’s face turned stoic and he watched her as she sniffed for any others. Then her expression changed the slightest bit as he could see something clicked in her mind. It didn’t matter, whatever it was, not to him anyway. His large ears perked forwards as she drilled him with new questions.
“We have nothing for you, just my utter curiosity to who you are. I was sure I had met the only rogue on these lands and had taken another into my pack. But here you stand to prove me wrong. As for picking on you, it’s not my style.”
Tenebris’s stance was strong. Planted in his spot. His facial features still unrevealing of his thoughts and feelings. Tenebris heard Raton behind him as he wished to be excused,”you are dismissed.” Tenebris didn’t want the healer near here should the alpha have to use his powers. It would be an ugly sight to see. Not because of the fight, but it would scare almost anyone to see that side of Tenebris, it even scared him at times. For good reason to. Silently he hoped the healer would stay close, just in case.
Now it was his turn to drill,”what business do you have here in Zamora? Are you passing through or here to stay?”
Tenebris waited patiently as he stood strong.

ROUGE AERAKItag: Alpha Tenebris , arashi , @ratonhnhake:tonthe warm sun littered through the canopy above and on the large brute that padded through the forest of Zamora, oh how he had missed been here. the feeling of the warm sun reminding him of how alive he was, it was nothing like being in winter. Although, he admits has it beauty but it is much like that of a rose, it gives the illusion of beauty and underneath it all, it is dangerous. winter slowly picks wolves off one by one, finding it much like a game of russian roulette, you wouldn't know who would be the next to go. a game of fate some may say, in ways it would be, others it can be planned out and lone wolves such as himself can survive by themselves.
Slowly his steps come to a stop, his breathing heavy from travelling all this way, but it was nothing compared to the journeys he has down before this. he always had to be moving, there was nothing sitting around for a lone wolf, especially when packs could be around and they wouldn't hesitate to kill a lone wolf such as himself. not that he was a weak wolf no, he has strength on his side and a lot of experience in the fighting department. lets just say, it is the reason why he survived for so long, otherwise he would have been dead long ago. no one takes kindly to lone wolves being around their territory but once they found his secret....of being a hybrid, they would most definitely want to kill him rather than let him go or reason. besides, it wasn't like he wanted to be like this, he just happened to be born like this. the brute had tried to join packs when he had been his old self. they would let him for a while but once they found out about his gift, he was kicked out. Often called a monster and a threat to the survival of all wolves, he would end up killing them and such and such. they kept calling him all these things, but monster was the one that was often spoken. now, they want a monster and they have gotten a monster.
the brute named Aeraki, hadn't been to the land of Zamora for years upon years, often on the move, never in one spot longer than a few days. looking up at the canopy above the sky peaked through in certain sections, the sky above clear of any clouds and a bright blue. the male grew in a breath as his breathing calmed down and his heart down to resting. Ears rotating around as he tried to hear anything nearby, anything would be of interest to him. hearing the gently bubbling of a stream nearby he began to head towards it without so much as a second thought. thirst was what he needed to satisfy first. finding the stream with ease the male lent down and swallowed mouthfuls of water, before he finally sat his head up straight to listen once again. Nothing. with a shrug of his shoulders, he wadded into the small stream and landed down in the shallow stream. the water cool and refreshing on his stomach and legs that seemed to burn from the lactic acid. giving a sigh of relief he rolled over so he got his back and whole body wet from the stream before he rose to his paws. shaking out his mainly white and flecks of black fur, it stuck up in all sorts of directions. But the brute could hardly give a care. aeraki continued to pad in the stream following it calmly. next he had to find food, he was starving from all the running. sniffing around, he tried to catch the scent of anything worth his time trying to catch. rabbits maybe?
suddenly, the scent of blood caught his attention, stopping dead in his tracks, his nose pointed in the direction of where the scent was coming from. his ears facing forward and posture frozen and alert. the blood smelt of rabbit that was for sure. he instantly felt cautious and alert all in one. the scent of blood only meant one other thing and that was there was another wolf in the area. looking in the direction where he should be headed away from the scent but instead his paws took him towards the scent. he felt like scolding himself and turning back and going away as it never ended well when he ran into wolves. they always ended in arguments and some have attacked Aeraki, but he ended their time shortly. shaking his head, he decided to go with it and head towards the scent without hesitation. his paws steps light and barely making a noise, his gift coming in hand some times. slowly, the scent become stronger as the closer he got to where the source was. that is when he found it, stopping short of where the source was a few meters back. looking at the female, the blood still on the ground before her but their was no scraps of the rabbit being there, except for the blood. The female that was slumped still looked large, especially for a female, she had been about the size of himself or more even. not that he would even admit that. her scent belonged to no pack, so she was another lone wolf just like himself. he flickered his ears about and saw two ebony male wolves, one smaller than that of the female and the other equal her size or smaller. sitting back on his haunches, aeraki watched silently and made sure the wind blew away his scent so all of them didn't know he was nearby watching and listening to what was going on.
Drawing in a deep breath the large brute caught the scent of the males and knew they were associated together in the same pack, and that the larger male was an alpha. Aeraki normally would have left by now, being pack members present but now that there was an alpha. he really should be going but no, he sat there still watching them closely as to what was going to happen. listening to the conversations closely, before seeing the smaller male being to leave. not a problem, but he was heading in his direction. Aeraki gave a sigh and knew he was better to come out now, before they found him and things got worse and turned on him.
taking one step forwards the male stepped out from the foliage that hit him so well from view. he took a few steps forward before he come to a stop and sat on his haunches. he wasn't at all worried about being attacked, if he did, he would be able to stop it before they even got to him. giving a yawn, the male looked at both the male and the female, "oh, i hope im not interrupting anything," he gave a smirk and tilted his head a little as he looked at both of them. "I heard a commotion and i had to find out what was going on, hmm." he flickered his ears and watched them both closely as to what they would do. as much as he would give the casual exterior, in his head he was gauging them and figuring them out one piece at a time. it was what he was best at now, he could decipher a wolf and what they are like and what they wanted in life in a matter of moments. some were harder to decipher but it gave him a challenge he enjoyed. now, it was time to work out these two lovely wolves before him. game on.

A slight snarl graced Arashi's lips. What exactly was that even supposed to mean? He almost took her for an alpha? With or without a pack, Arashi was certainly 'alpha' as they come. She couldn't help but interpret it as an insult. "The funny thing about lone wolves," she commented coolly, "is that they often don't stick to a single territory. They're not tied down the way a pack is. They can't afford to be." She glanced him up and down, overall unimpressed. She stepped closer to the edge of the stream and closer to the large black male, a spark of static excitement dancing across her one-eyed gaze as the prospect of potential battle was laid before her. Yet, she knew that she did not come here to just fight, and she knew by her mother's tales that simply defeating an alpha in battle–as an outsider–wouldn't be enough to convince anyone to follow her attempt to conquer the other packs. If it were that easy, life here would be much more unstable and fluid, leaders changing constantly.
"If intents were so easily learned by questions, the world would be a much simpler place. Why do my intents mean anything to a big, strong alpha like yourself?" Her words were thickly laced with sarcasm. "I have no intention of hurting your pack, should it not be needed, if that's what you're so deeply concerned about." She smirked slightly, one ear flicking in amusement. "Besides, I wouldn't want to insult my mother's memory by just leaping into battle with the pack she grew up in, without reasonable cause." Arashi was practically daring this huge male to give her reasonable cause. But no, at this moment it would hardly serve her to strike first.
Her eye flicked then to the healer, who'd asked to be excused and was leaving. She gazed evenly at him, not really sure what to think of such a wolf. One who would heal at all seemed beyond her, perhaps because she'd spent so much of her life simply fighting without another to take care of her. The fact was, starting a pack, she could use a wolf like that. She was tempted to call out after him, however, there was no time to do so as yet another wolf stepped into sight. By the smell of him, certainly not from this pack. She lifted a paw off the ground with mild dramatics and lifted her nose somewhat. "Great stars, the woods here are simply crawling with males. No wonder this place is such a disaster." She eyes new newcomer with some interest. "Only you, like myself, are not from the same place as these other two."

Ratonhnhake:ton
The tragedy of life is not death but what we let die inside of us while we live..
Relief was evident when Tenebris dismissed him and giving a dip of his head to his Alpha he turned and began to move towards the way he had come only to stop when he saw the bushes shaking to reveal another wolf, male this time.
Narrowing his gray eyes, the relief in his eyes gone and replaced by a weariness and mistrust as he swept his gaze over the newcomer before backing up and moving to his Alpha's side. There was one to many rogues and he wasn't about to leave his Alpha's side now.
Scruff bristling slightly the male moved his gaze from the male to the female but silence reigned over him and he refused to even utter a growl of warning. What was suppose to be a pleasant trip seemed to have taken a turn for the worse and he was now around two unfamiliar wolves, one of his many dislikes.. This was why he only ever went out at midnight, when even the crickets seemed to be at rest.
Edging nearer to Tenebris he placed his placid gaze on the new wolf and nearly scoffed at his question. If he was concerned about interrupting the conversation why did he? Flattening his ears he pulled his lips back in slight disgust. Some wolves just didn't know when to leave others alone.

WORD COUNT: 347 | TAGS: All in the thread & I'm sorry it sucks >.< As the two snared and glared to one another, Tenebris knew he had other things to be doing. Like being an alpha. Scoffing, the large brute almost began to turn away and move along with Raton until another figure moved from the shadows and promptly sat down to enjoy the show. Stating he was just merely seeing what was going on. It was none of his business, this made a growl escape his thick pelted throat. He had no time for either of them. His eyes narrowed the fae for a split second as she spoke of how Zamora was a disaster since mostly males were about at this particular time. Seeing the new rogue, he almost wanted to call her a liar, but their scents weren’t mingled together. He could also feel Raton’s presences at his side, it was definitely a small comfort now that there was two rogues.
Ear lying flat against his head with irritation,”lovely, another one”, he thought to himself before returning to his stance of authority,” as long as you keep your solitary self away from my lands and pack. Then I see me having no intents for you.” Tenebris’s large head ever so slightly tilted when she spoke of her mother once being part of his pack. Odd, he had no recollection of anyone leaving here recently. Looking away for few moments, he mulled over the wolves that had gone away over the years. There were only two times he could think of, his own sister and a fae wolf who just vanished one night. Raising a brow the ebony brute looked back to the fae standing before him. “Who was she”, his voice was unwavering. He knew the event, but not the name of the fae that ran. Granted, he sucked at remembering names. So it was no surprise to him he couldn’t recall. Sighing he ignored the other two and focused his attention on the female if the other rogue went to move for his back he knew that Raton would act and his surprise anything would fail.
