KrakenTHEY CALL ME DEVIL, AND YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID Sounds of the night seemed to blend perfectly well with the gentle lapping of the waves that washed against the shore. It was a lulling sound, one that could easily pup a tired beast to sleep and while it seemed to have a large, lone, white hound in it's trance he showed no signs of nodding off. He sat with his scarred muzzled pointed at the dark sky that was lit up with thousands, no millions, of tiny twinkling stars and one plump moon that seemed to almost 'push aside' the small twinkling things.
The white brute ruffled his pelt as a cool breeze swept through, tugging at his pelt. He could feel it.. The She-devil that was winter was right around the corner.. Shorter days and less prey.. Curling his lip his thoughts wandered back to his homeland, how would they fair? Were any of those mindless fools even still in existence? It had, after all been a few moons since he had seen them.. He scoffed and let out a heavy sigh as he turned his gaze to watch the water. How curious, the water was determined to come ashore yet it always went back to where it came from.. He, too, would be like the water and return once more to his homeland but it would not be so happy as the water returning.. His would be a return based on vengeance and a taste of the blood that belonged to the male he despised so much.
Just as another breeze struck, the large brute shifted and got to his paws. No.. You mustn't think of that at the moment.. he told himself, once more being sucked into the peacefulness that was Halo Beach. As he began to walk, he felt a tension leave his shoulders. This land was truly beautiful, this time of night was extraordinary and the sky... Oh, the indescribable sky gave one such a feeling of freedom. He flicked an ear as he told himself he should count himself lucky to be alive with only a few scars on his muzzle and a scar on his shoulder to prove he had been attacked without mercy.
As he walked, his paws made a soft muffled noise as the sand shifted under his weight. He was alone now, a traveler, a rogue.. A loner. He was free to do as he wanted and he firmly believed that, if he survived his plans, he would return to being alone as he rather liked the feeling.. Now that he knew it, he doubted he could ever join a pack or lead one for that matter.. Besides, he wasn't sure if the pack remained in tact after he had been chased away.
"I have to admit.." the brute sighed, speaking aloud to himself.. "I would be disappointed if you turned up dead somewhere... I want to be there when the shadow of death passes over you." WORDS: || TAGGED: || MUSIC || NOTES:

| all that could be heard is the sound of the lapping ocean as it washed up onto the beach before receding back to where it came from. it is such a soothing sound, it could relax anyone. the ocean a dark blue at night, but lighter in the areas of where reflection from the moonlight above. beautiful, but yet the ocean can always change unexpectantly from a calm pristine scene to a raging tsunami if given the opportunity. definitely not something a wolf could survive if caught in the middle. definitely not something the young alphess would like to be in the middle of.
the young female gently padded along the beach, staying a bit of a distant from the ocean itself. not that she would admit it, but the ocean had a hold of her fear. she knew what it could do and not to underestimate it. images of the ocean once being calm turning into a raging storm and taking many lives that weren't expecting it, flashed before her eyes. ever reminding her to not trust it. it always caused a shiver to run down her spine and her muscles to tense up. even now, as she walked down the beach, her body was tense and weary keeping an eye on the ocean at all times. Honestly, she really hated her fear. others would enjoy the ocean and swim in it or rivers especially in the summer moments when it could get hot. there she is in the distance watching them, never to enjoy the cool relaxing waters. if she had it her way she wouldn't have this fear, sadly, it doesn't work that way. so, she can only work on her fear. which is what she doin now, facing her fear persay. walking on the beach is as close as she gets now, she has made progress. she wouldn't go anywhere near the ocean at the beginning, now she is only a few metres from it. that is a great improvement if she might say so herself.
a cool breeze whipped off the surface of the ocean and rustled her loose fur that is only beginning to thicken. the breeze ice cold sending a chill down her spine, but being a fire elemental she warmed up reasonably quickly. the perks of fire. stopping, she sat down on the sand facing he tide as it washed up and pulled back out. scars littered her body from fights - either intentional or training. they could only be seen if you were actually studying her but as soon as she has grown her fur during winter, it is near to impossible to see them. except for the one on her face. gifted to her by the alpha of her old pack. anger brewed within her, oh how much she hated him. he is dead, but the very thought of him and how he had treated everyone and caused her sister to die. if it weren't for him, maybe her sister would be alive. Shaking her head, she refused to keep pondering on it, or she would only get herself worked up. She couldn't change the past. what has been done, is done.
looking down the beach, she saw a white wolf sitting on their own. she felt curiosity tug at her to go and interrogate. But She didnt. she knew all to well what rouges or loners can do. they weren't to be trusted. this wolf probably was the same. although, she rose to her paws and slowly moved over to him as not startle him or give off the impression she is going to attack him. she stopped a short distance and looked at him for a moment before looking at the moon. she wouldn't let he run guard down, she knew not to underestaimte. no matter how relaxedness he appeared. sitting down, she didn't say anything. somehings are best to be left unsaid. Not just that, she wanted to see what he would say to better get an understanding of what wolf he is.

KrakenTHEY CALL ME DEVIL, AND YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID Sensing a new presence, the brute glanced in the female's direction. For a moment he just stared at her through narrow and weary eyes. Had he crossed some border he was unaware of? Taking his eyes from her he glanced around and sniffed at the air and was met with the salty air as well as his own scent and the female's next to him.. No other scent.. He was sure he hadn't gone across any markings.. Looking back to her before speaking.
"It's a pleasant night." he said in a warm, smooth voice as he fluffed up his fur and returned his gaze to the ocean watching the water lap up against the shore as if struggling to remain and then being pulled back only to return a short moment later. "A bit cold for my liking though." he added as he shifted in his position and flattened his ears to his skull.
Then silence struck once more. He had forgotten how hard it was to speak to another as he seldom did it due to preferring to travel on his own now that he had been forced to do so.Tilting his head he struggled to think of something to say but still found nothing. Who was this she wolf and what did she want? He despised being weary of everything as it often found him being disliked by others. WORDS: || TAGGED: || MUSIC || NOTES:

| for a moment the two merely sat and watched each other, as if they were susing each other out. adrasteia didnt know if the other male wolf was — no doubt was — but she indeed was. studying him rather closely, to get a better understanding of his wolf. it is something she always did. maybe it is an alpha instinct to do this, she didn't know, either way she always studied an unknown wolf. not only that, from many years of doing this, she has become pretty darn good at judging wolves and reading them as if they were books. looking at this male wolf, she saw obviously he had white fur, thick and starting to get heavy for the winter that is right around the corner. noting on his height and frame, being stocky and well built, and easily being taller than her even though he is sitting down. lastly, she noted on his scars on his muzzle and the deeper one on his shoulder. curiosity burned at her wondering how he had gotten the scars, as adrasteia herself had quite a few. the main obvious one on her face, starting at her eyebrow and down between her eyes and down to her right jaw line. she remembered when she first gotten the scar. it hadn't been hard at first to always be reminded of the alpha of her past pack, but now she wears it with pride as though it gives her strength each day.
hearing the male speak, she pondered on his words for a moment. letting them sink in and listening to his tone and watching his body attitude. after the male spoke silence fell once more, she waited for a few moments, before she drew in a breath and spoke in a calm steady voice, "it is quite a pleasant nice I might say so myself," pausing she smiled a little at his discomfort to the cold before, maybe he was a fire elemental as well? "I understand how you feel. luckily I can easily adjust to the cold," she spoke softly but clearly. "the perks of being a fire elemental." she explained, not entirely sure if Shen should have given away her elemental power to him. although, judging by his character, he was civial and nothing compared to most rouges she has met, which was a relief. she honestly didn't feel like fighting anyone tonight.
turning her head to look at the ocean, as she thought for a moment to herself. the lapping of the ocean was good for that, to just think and not have anyone nagging or interrupting your thoughts 24/7. she sighed softly, she didn't mind coming here, just as long as the ocean didn't decide to attack her she would be fine. turning her pale gaze back onto the male next to her, she spoke once more, "what bring's you out here, if you don't mind me asking?" she knew she had to be careful of what she said. some wolves could snap, not that she couldn't handle herself, but like she said she didn't feel like fighting tonight. Besides, this male seemed rather interesting and intriguing, almost like she wanted to know more about him. which is strange for her since she doesn't usually want to get to know many wolves especially strangers. what was so different about this wolf? she particularly needed to know. she frowned a little as she gaze at the ocean waiting for a response if she got one.

KrakenTHEY CALL ME DEVIL, AND YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID "Ah! How nice it is to be a Fire Elemental" he agreed "I too am one which is one reason I hate the cold so.." he said and shook his head "I do not look forward to the many months that snow cakes the ground." he said with a quiet sigh before looking to her. She seemed okay, there was nothing unusual about her.. Nothing ominous about her.. Good, he did not wish to exert his energy on something as useless as a fight over crossing boundaries.. When she said nothing of that he relaxed more. While he was sure she could handle herself he was positive that there would be no fight unless he slipped up in his words.
He had fallen quiet once more and searched the ocean as if it were going to give him the answers on how to correspond with the new she wolf and just as he was about to give up he heard her voice sound once more and he looked at her curiously. "What am I doing out here.." he repeated her words but in a manner that it seemed he was asking himself the question, he rolled his shoulders back and sat up straighter before continuing. "I suppose you could say I am pondering.. Pondering as to why I am here.. Why I exist.. Why he exists.. and for how long." the male's voice remained passive and warm as he spoke. "If I may ask.. What is it that has brought you here? I can tell you are not a rogue or a loner." the male said gently as his dark eyes took her in he noted the scars she bore and frowned thoughtfully.. How did she get those? Was she attacked or did she get them from a battle.? WORDS: || TAGGED: || MUSIC || NOTES:

| hearing his agreement to being a fire elemental, she chuckled lightly, she tried to stop it but before she could it had already come out. she normally would have hated herself for it, but the male next to her actually seemed like the decent wolf unlike most. besides, if wasn't everyday you get to meet another fire elemental wondering or in this case sitting at the beach. in fact, it put her at ease knowing that he is another fire elemental, it made her feel more comfortable. "I don't enjoy the winter months either, but I definitely become irritatable during summer," she smiled a little, "the heat and my own heat doesn't mix." she chuckled a little, shaking her head a little. it is bizarre to her how well relaxed she is around this wolf. she has forgotten what is like to have a normal conversation with no athourity judgement to worry about. she didn't have to worry about what others would think if she was herself more or simply just striking a normal conversation. Adrasteia Liked this, they both didn't even know each other's names or anything, yet here they weren't having a relatively normal conversation. it couldn't get any better than this in adrasteia's eyes.
hearing the male repeat her question drew her attention, her pale gaze looking him over. he appeared to be thinking about how to respond for a moment before he adjusted his posture and spoke. his words warm and passive, but yet the phrase didn't go with his tone. it was dark to thinking and something she has only done on occasion, but has known wolves to be soul ly dark thinkers. not the greatest mix in her opinion. she heard his question, but kept thinking about his answer to her question. him. who did he mean by him? curiosity burned in her and before she could stop herself, she blurted out, "who is him?" she instantly regretted if and pulled back her ears and growled a little in her throat. she hated it when she hadn't no filter sometimes, it gave many the impression she was blunt which can most certainly can be. Although, some of the things she doesn't mean to say and that is the act of having no filter to stop her from saying it. one of her weaknesses. "sorry." she spoke apologised sheepishly, "I have this annoying habit of saying whatever is on my mind." she explained, as she sighed heavily, clearly annoyed with herself.
finally acknowledging the males question, she flicked her ears back up, her gaze looking him over. there goes the easy conversation. She honestly contemplated lying about why she was here and who she was. it would only give him an edge if he found out about her fear and if she told him who she was, he may be scared off or think differently of her. sighing, she knew she couldn't lie, it just wasn't in he ran nature to. "I'm here to settle an unnerve war between me and the ocean," she spoke softly, that is the best she was going to say she was afraid of the ocean. she was too prideful to actually say she had a phobia of the ocean, but she is a lot better than before. "I'm an alpha, more specifically an alphess of adroushan." she spoke almost sadly, she knew this conversation would turn now that he knew she is alphess. they always did. why would it be any different now? "the name is adrasteia." she spoke confidently as her gaze looked st the ocean. she waited for the excuse to leave, it would only be a second away.

KrakenTHEY CALL ME DEVIL, AND YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID He listened closely to her words and he had to agree that summer was worse but he was satisfied with a short swim. Shutting his eyes he listened to her speak, he liked the sound of her voice.. It was different then others.. Her presence didn't leak that aura he despised so much. He remained still with his eyes shut and didn't realize she had stopped talking until she burst out with
'Who is him!" Snapping his eyes open and looking to her in surprise. The out burst was sudden and amused him, Fighting back a chortle of laughter his muzzle scrunched up and gave him the appearance of someone who might sneeze but the sneeze was taking forever to arrive. His eyes twinkled as he looked at her and then she apologized and he let out a soft chuckle, she certainly was different. "It's quiet alright." the male said with a friendly wag of his tail, something he seldom did because it looked ridiculous.
His eyes remained on the female as she went on to tell why she was there.. A fear he guessed though instantly doubted that, she didn't seem the type. He turned his gaze on the water.. It was indeed a scary thing then when she moved on to tell him who she was, his eyes widened in slight surprise but he grinned and nudged her playfully. "Alpha, eh? I bet it gets boring after awhile.. Never being able to be who you were before getting the rank.." he frowned faintly as he thought back towards his old pack, would he be Alpha by now if his parents hadn't died like they did? He shook his head slightly and drew in a breath as she told him her name. Smiling he repeated it quietly before dipping his head in a manner he did for all that he came across. "Pleasure to meet you, my name is Kraken." he said softly before remembering that she had asked him a question..
"Ah! I do believe you asked me a question.." he paused for a moment to gather his thoughts "The male I speak of... he is, a murder.. Someone who does not deserve a life that he lives while I was forced to live..." he paused, his eyes flashing darkly, a dark aura seeming to waft off of him.. "He.. he is responsible for so much.. Someone I've known since I was a pup yet someone I know nothing about except he is corrupt and seeks to be in power.." he shut his eyes the face of the wolf appearing in his mind, a sharp and vivid image of such an ugly brute. "Binder! is what he went by." the male said, his eyes lighting up. "He was... an odd thing.." the male went on but suddenly fell quiet as if he were thrown into a pit of blackness.

| unable to hide her annoyance at herself for blurting out, she simply shook her head. why did she have to open her trap? or blurt out that, if almost seemed like such a touchy subject that she shouldn't have asked in the first place. Adrasteia knew all too well how annoying some wolves could be if they poked and prodded into subjects that were touchy and fragile, almost as though they could break at any moment. in her case, they break and she ends up losing it, not just because of her element — since fire elementals can be known to have fiery tempers— but because she disliked and it almost physically hurt her to talk about touchy subjects. it felt like her chest was tightening and there was a lump in her throat. it definitely wasn't the greatest feelings. suddenly, hearing the brute laugh, it made her relax and she smiled sheepishly towards him, but very glad he didn't take her outburst the wrong way. however, he did dodge the question which made her suspect that it definitely is a touchy subject and one not to poke at.
feeling the males dark gaze on as she spoke about who see was and what she was doing here. she was waiting for him to make some excuse to leave, she could particually sense the clogs turning as he tried to make up some excuse to leave. she wouldn't blame him if he did, it wouldn't be any different to any other wolf. her gaze remained on the ocean as she heard him draw in a breath to speak, she did not speak what he said next, " Alpha, eh? I bet it gets boring after awhile.. Never being able to be who you were before getting the rank.." it completely shocked her. turning to look at the male, she studied his face closely. she definitely didn't expect him fm say that. she saw his slight frown and frowned herself. maybe because he did? or because she couldn't help it after when he said the opposite of what she thought he was going to say? she believed it was both, in all honest. finally, she gave a soft smile, "it can be, but more so a very time demanding rank. everyone's lives are in your paws, it can be a lot to put on ones shoulders." she sighed a little as she glanced out at the ocean again. it truely is beautiful, especially now as more of moon light seemed to beam down on it and light fragments casted a light blue hue. Turning her head back to the male, she saw him dip his head in a manner of greeting, she smiled at hearing his name. kraken. different. Not a name she heard of before nor expected. nonetheless, it suited him from what she has seen of him. she spoke the name softly in her head, getting a better understanding of it you could say. it rolled off her tongue nicely, she gave the brute a smile, "what a handsome name for a handsome wolf." she laughed a little and shook her head at herself. nothing wrong with some fun comments here and there, even for an alpha.
suddenly hearing kraken speak about her question earlier, she was honesty surprised he wanted to talk about it. she would have thought it was a touchy subject for him, with his body language and tone. 'he keeps continuing to surprise me.' she thought with confusion but she definitely was intrigued. Adrasteia gave a short nod and listened to him speak knowing not to butt in. she could feel the darkness like it was swimming around them. suddenly hearing the name of the wolf. binder. an instanteous growl formed in her throats as she jumped to her paws. she knew that name all too well. it was the alpha of her old pack. adrasteia felt flame she being to form on her fur in anger, uncontrollably which is not a good sign at all. looking at kraken, she snarled, "you know binder?!" her eyes bright and filled with anger, "don't tell me you are one of his "friends", is this some sort of trap?" she spat rather angry and moved back from kraken. "let me guess binder is around here somewhere ready to get back at me." she growled, her eyes darting around the place looking for the wolf. Her nemesis. she couldn't see anyone but she knew not to trust that, snapping her jaws at kraken, "bring it." her eyes flared, as fire and flames surrounded her. her eyes locked on kraken but keeping an eye on others that could be hiding around the place.

KrakenTHEY CALL ME DEVIL, AND YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID Since being on his own Kraken had learned not to care to much about ranks in a pack.. What good did they do you when you were alone? Sure he should show some respect to the female but it was a respect that be shown to all wolves he came across.. He hoped he wouldn't offend her by not changing his attitude towards her... After all this may be the only time they were to meet and if she deemed him a disrespectful rogue then he was fine with that it was best to steer clear of any kind of relationships because you wouldn't know when the other could decide he or she had had enough. Then she spoke again, he agreed with her and he couldn't contain the surprise that surfaced causing him to make a noise in his throat. He had not expected that..
Peering at her through the corner of his eye he looked her over again. She was an odd one.. Most alphas would have taken that and chewed his head off like it was some kind of toy. Shuddering he cleared his throat and shifted and almost missed her next words, his ears burned. That was odd.. Dropping his gaze he searched the ground curiously. What was he to say on that? Twitching his nose he murmured a soft 'Thank you... But If I may be as bold to say that while your name is beautiful it does not hold a flame to you." GACK! What was that? he mentally scolded himself, never once in his life had he said something as cheesy as that.. He wanted to hide... Perhaps let the ocean take him and drowned him? Yes.. that would be suitable..
It was after he had finished explaining who 'he was' that the mood changed dramatic. She asked if he was one of that monster's friends. He nearly laughed bitterly but the laugh didn't surface as he noticed aggression in the female's gaze. Instantly he was on his paws and stepping back from her. He didn't want to fight, not her not anyone.. "Bring what exactly?" he asked, pinning his ears to his skull his eyes wide. "A- Adrasteia I can swear to you I have nothing to do with except the wish to see the shadow of death over him.. I promise that I am no friend of his.." he nodded to his shoulder. "This, this is a present from the dear boy.. I can tell you now that he hates me as much as I hate him... The only thing we have in common is the urge to see the other one dead." he said without a trace of aggression, his tail tucked and he lowered his body to the ground showing that he did not want a fight... Oh! this action.. He would never do it to anyone, ever! Why now? Looking up at her, he drew in a breath. "PLease, I beg of you to believe me.. I know that it might be hard.. But let me explain, let us talk in the manner we just were.." WORDS: || TAGGED: || MUSIC || NOTES:

| the aggression built up in her, she was on the verge of snapping and launching at the male. despite her aggression, she knew deep down knew he is innocent, so why was she so aggressive? possibly because of the very thought of binder being here. it clouded her judgement and made her angry and dangerously so. no one is safe around her when she got to meet binder. yes when, not if. she is determined to find the monster and end his manipulative ways, even if it meant she died in the progress. it is her goal to get that monster before he does more damage or worse hurts more of her close ones. although, nowadays she doesn't form close bonds anymore. maybe because of that, and she just wanted to focus purely on getting the monster. even so, she is finding it hard to juggle being alpha and finding binder. she only had a matter of time before he passed, or he found her and used her weaknesses against her. he is a smart wolf she had to admit, but everything else about him reeked of evil. something that did too much damage in this world.
watching kraken, she saw him rise to his paws as she did. both stepping back as tension grew between them. hearing his question, she scoffed, was he really asking that? Did she really look that stupid? "don't play dumb with me." she snarled agreesively. he pinned his ears back as she spoke yet again. She listened to his words closely and intently, before gaze over at the scar on his shoulder. he words hinted with aggression of his own, but he tucked tail and lowered himself to the ground. soemthing she wasn't expecting from kraken. he appeared as though he wasn't that type of wolf to submit to anyone. she felt a slight ping of disappointment. hearing his plead, she peered down at him, she could hear the honesty in his voice. she could tell when someone was lying as though it was second nature to her. so why was she still beinf agreesive to kraken? he hadn't done anything wrong.
finally, after what felt like an entirnity, adrasteia relaxed. her ears flicking up, and the aggression faded away from her body. instead, she felt guilt. she knew she is wrong to act the way she did to kraken. but who could blame her? especially with all that happened. Sighing heavily, "I'm sorry." she whispered and sat down, her head tilted down, ears pulled back against her cranium. Guilt racked at her as her outburst, it is hard for her to admit when is wrong, but She knew deep down she was. "I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions." she spoke in a soft tone and continued to look at the ground in embarrassment. she understood if kraken wanted to go now, she did just accuse him of someone he wasn't. She really needed to get a clearer mind, to stop thinking about binder. it really is turning her into some crazed wolf. soon, others will be questioning her and they will try to take over her rank. she can take one wolf but several wolves? she wouldn't be able to do it. maybe it is time Shen admitted she needed help and to get over this.

KrakenTHEY CALL ME DEVIL, AND YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID The male sighed a heavy sigh when her aggression faded and he slowly stood up. He was glad that there was no fight and he hoped that she wouldn't mention his giving in.. He lowered his head in embarrassment which he would have rather felt then that of the effects of any fight, especially against a female... Although he had known many females that could fight more fearsome then any male he had values to stick by.
Her voice brought him back to reality and he looked up to her, why was she apologizing? He probably would have done the same to her or anyone else if it involved Binder. Shuddering as he thought of the name he stood up straight and stared long and hard at her before speaking. "Do not apologize.." he said as he shook his head side to side. "You need't do it." the male told her as he turned his head and licked his shoulder.. Murmuring;
"I would have done the same."
Turning his eyes back on her he shrugged his shoulders and perked his ears up. "But.. How do you know Binder?" he asked suddenly. "How... Have you come across him before? Do you know him!?" he started to ask, firing questions at her one after the other. Was this an answer to his question.. the question since he had first laid eyes on him? Moving forwards he looked closely at her and spoke in a low voice, there was a change in his soft dark eyes... Almost a cynical gleam appeared. "What did he do to you? Why.." he stopped and withdrew and gave a sharp intake of breath.. "Binder.. He is a killer! A traitor.. and someone who deserves death.. I will answer your questions if you answer mine." he said but didn't look back up at her.. Would he find other wolves like her that knew this male for who he was, that knew what he was? | sighing softly to herself, she really hated it when she jumped to conclusions especially when she had her judgement clouded and she couldn't see clearly. so if was like she was grasping at straws but yet there is no straws to get. she had accused kraken and she was expecting him to go off at her or get angry at her for such a stunt. she wouldn't have complained or expected any different. but yet, he simply told her to not apologise as she didn't need to. what? she frowned in complete confusion why didn't she need to apologise? she had just accused him of something he didn't do. so he is more than entitled for an apology. so why was he saying that? hearing him murmur, she frowned not catching it, she sat and thought about it trying to connect what words he could have said to his tone. however, no matter what she tried she couldn't connect it. it made her annoyed that she couldn't understand what he had said and wanted to know, but thought best of it especially after her act earlier.
suddenly, kraken asked how she knew binder, and she stiffened. Oh no, she should have know this question was going to come up. why wouldn't it? it is a sensible question, burnyef she hadn't expected, or had hoped he wouldn't ask. after that one question, he began to fire questions at her as though he had been holding them in until now. adrasteia sat neutral and unmoving as her pale gaze watched him. he stepped close and spoke in a low tone, and she felt her stomach twist and churn uneasily.
when he looked down, she say silently for what felt like hours, before she finally sighed heavily, "fine." she shifted her weight a little before she spoke. "i would have to start from the beginning," she paused and thought for a moment before continuing, "I knew binder since I was a pup. my mother a lone wolf, my father his best friend and sentinel," she rolled her eyes at him beinf her father's best friend, "he normally would have killed my mother, but since my father was his close friend he allowed for her to join the pack and have her pups. there was myself, my brother and my sister." she paused and sighed, "I never saw my father, he was killed by binder when we were all born. he then forced my mother to be his mate or he would kill her and all of us pups. he had a favourite obviously, my brother, kazimir, I hardly ever saw my brother. he was always with binder and binder would be teaching him ways that killed many, I knew he hated it at the start and binder would force him, but in the end he almost seemed to enjoy tormenting others and killing them," she shivered and shook her head, "at the time, we hadn't no food, only scraps, but they were only for binder and kazimir. so wolves starved and some died, one of those was my sister." she sighed sadly but continued, "my mother's had enough and had confronted binder. in the end her and binder fought, she knew she wouldn't live but she had hoped some would fight back as well..." she paused for a moment and knew the next bit would be hard. "I didn't expect it......my brother had jumped out and attacked our mother, killing her!" she snarled a little and shook her head, "he ran off like the coward he was. I haven't seen him since I ran off and now I want to get back at binder. he manipulated my brother and changed him into a monster and killed my family." teeth bared slightly as anger brewed within her again. she wanted nothings more to kill binder and make him pay and suffer through his death. he doesn't deserve to die mercifully and quickly. "just like you, he gave me a gift. the scar on my face was from when I was barefully six months. He hated me the most," she smirked a little, "because he knew I would come back to haunt him.". slowly calming back down again, she looked at kraken, "now I told you my life's story, how did you come across binder and his ways?" she asked curiously, as she gaze wondered overnight his frame.

KrakenTHEY CALL ME DEVIL, AND YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID The male sat down and listened intently to what she had to say... It appeared that Binder had a separate life.. That would explain his frequent disappearances. He shut his eyes and searched his memory bank.. How... How was it possible that she knew him from the time she was a pup? Opening his eyes he looked hard at her, she had to be younger then him.. Just had to be,
He frowned deeply.. "Since you told me, I will tell you.." Kraken stated quietly, "But.. Before I go on I will tell you my age.. I am four years now and I knew him since I was a pup as well." he shook his head and pressed his paws hard against the ground in anger. "I knew something was off the moment I met him.. Such a strange, ugly, thing he was. He had a tendency to disappear for days on end. He was a wolf of few words but used words that held power." The male lowered his head and his shoulders stiffened. Continuing on he said in a flat tone.
"He was different then any other wolf in the pack. He seemed to carry a weight, a strange aura about him and I.. When I first met him I hated him but my littermates seemed to adore him and I, to this day, think that he knew I hated him that he knew I was suspicious of him.. I told my mother and father of my suspicions, I told them there was something off and my mother scolded me for it, saying Binder had been through hell in his life and that was why he was so strange.. He could not help his strangeness." the male paused for a breath and he tilted his head back to the sky, searching the stars for something or asking them to tell it. Sighing and giving up he looked back to the fae and continued;
"Before I knew it I was hated in the pack because I didn't like him, because I didn't see him as someone who was strong.. Just simply, out of place." he shrugged "My siblings loved him and my parents adored him.. After some time I realized I should try and like him, after all I was the heir to the thrown. I went on hunting patrols with him but I still found myself watching him.. I would see him whispering things to other wolves in the pack who would hush and stare if I came near.."
His gaze darkened and he started to laugh, a rather unusual laugh. "I began to think I was crazy... I began to wonder what was wrong with me! What was it about him, no no.. About me that made me feel this way? I didn't understand.." his laughter grew heavier as he went on.. "No one believed me, my siblings despised me, my parents thought I was a disgrace and then... It all ended.. It came down to him killing my parents in cold blood.. I was first to find them and him... and when others gathered he made them believe I was the killer!! BAH! Me? a killer? No no... I have yet to take a life of another wolf.. But, he made me into a monster.. I blood-thirsty, power hungry, monster that would kill his own parents for the pack rank, Alpha.." He stopped laughing and looked to her.
"I am a monster now.. I'm filled with a strange darkness .. An urge to kill but I'm afraid... I am afraid that once I release that inner demon that I will truly lose myself.." he shook his head.. "I.. Sometimes.. There are some times that, where, I cannot remember who are where I am." he grunted. "That part of me is dangerous because it seeks to spill blood be it innocent or that of my enemy."

| adrasteia sat and simply listened to krakens side of the story and how everything had happened with him and binder. she studied him and his words closely, making sense of all of it in he really head. so binder had been in another pack as well the one he had. what a sly little....she stopped herself and sighed mentally. all she knew was she was going to tear him limb for limb, making surely he is awake for it all and feel every little bit. he killed both their parents, their family. she growled lowly and flicked her ears back agianst her cranium, he needed to die.
returning her attention back to kraken, she flicked her ear she back up and returned to listening to him. she listened to his laugh, well, it started off a little unusually then become even more bizarre and well crazed almost. she frowned a little and flickered her ears back briefly. Kraken didn't appear to be a crazy wolf until she got to hear his story. not that she was startled or put off, just simply surprised. hearing him say he was meant to be alpha after his parents she looked at him. He was definitely alpha material, but now she could understand why he is a rouge now. she felt sympathy for him. she almost wanted to help him, and be there for him. he seemed like a good enough wolf and even though he is crazy or dark, she still believed that kraken she sees before will still be there just buried. so she would have to do some digging if anything were to go wrong.
adrasteia listened to his last words about being a monster and not remember where or who he is when they part of him comes out. she sighed softly and nodded her head, "that is scary," she began, "but I'm sure you will have someone there for you, trying to help." she paused and shook her head at herself. did she really just imply she would be that wolf? how could she? she probably won't be there since after this they will probably spilt and never see each other again. sadness seemed to creep in on that thought. why was she sad? it was the truth is it not? sighing, she knew she really enjoyed his company and it is a lot different to be around any other wolf. they were equals and they had no reason to think otherwise despite everything they have talked about. she definitely didn't think differently of kraken. adrasteia gave him a soft smile companies with a gentle gaze. she truely did want to be friends with this wolf, and stay friends depsite their different ranks, if wouldn't stop her. Kraken is a great wolf and one to be there's for, and she is a determined wolf nothing will Stop her oherwise.

KrakenTHEY CALL ME DEVIL, AND YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID The brute felt awkward. He had never shared that before not on purpose anyway. It was because of that side of him that he preferred to travel alone and steer clear of packs or other loners such as himself. He half thought that the she-wolf would be frightened and leave and when she didn't surprise washed over him.. But then he doubted it again... If she truly knew what swam around in his head she would fear him.. Like the others that only knew half of it.
The fae then mentioned someone helping him and he couldn't help himself and laughed. "My dear friend, since my hasty departure from those who wished to kill me I haven't been in a company long enough." he frowned and lifted a paw, examining it closely. "I fear hurting someone innocent.. Someone that will not quench the thirst that this demon longs for... I fear that it will only make it thirstier and yearn to taste more of innocent blood.." Kraken shook his head furiously. " I try my best to isolate myself from others.. " the male said and looked to her. "ANd you say that I will have someone there.. But, I know no one." he said with wide eyes then grinned a small teasing grin. "Are you volunteering?" he asked jokingly before hopping to his paws. "Will you help me with my demons?" he asked the question not expecting an answer.. Because he felt an almost empty feeling.. What if she laughed at him and said no? He couldn't bare that fact.
Kraken sniffed at the air and let out a soft sigh. "The air here is so clean" he said, quickly changing the subject, not wanting to hear her answer. "And the stars.. there are so many of them but while they shine bright they are dim compared to the moonlight. " he said narrowing his eyes to glance towards the large, plump moon.
