{ } Her steps were silent as she moved through the snow. Winter was her favorite season but it seemed that the mountains were covered in snow all the time even though it was autumn right now. Her eyes scanned over the rocks as she descended down the mountain carefully. The wind blew colder air than normal this morning. A yawn escaped through her lips and she felt one of her paws slip a bit and she quickly recovered herself. "Great morning to almost die getting down the mountain." she spoke quietly to herself. Nyx had been on her own for a few weeks now, her brother was dead by her own doing and her best friend had gone back home not wanting to be around her anymore. Half the time she didn't want to be around herself. Stopping on an overhang, she looked down to see how much further she had to go then she sighed and sat down. She deserved this solitude, right? Even as a pup, she was really never liked amongst the pack. It was only because of Zaladus that she had even survived as a pup and with the help of Felix arriving and becoming friends did she start to open up. After becoming an assassin for the pack with them she had something more sinister about her. But she loved the feeling that it gave her sometimes to follow after somebody from the shadows. Excitement? She hadn't had that feeling in a while, not since she left home. Her head lifted up as she released a howl. Mostly to see, what sort of creatures would detect her. MADE BY VEL OF GS

It was just before the dawn, a lone and dark figure sat by himself on the steps of his mighty temple. The icy fingers of the morning breeze teasing the males pitch black pelt. Silvery eyes scanned the foliage before him taking in the scenery as the rays of morning sun touched and began to warm the earth again. Tenebris could hear the pawsteps of the nightly patrol party returning for their earned rest. One warrior would stop and speak to him, reminding him that his sister was still long gone and probably was to never return. Tenebris slightly turned his head and watched over his shoulder as the warriors slipped into the temple for sleep. His ears fell in yet another disappointing day. Why he kept looking for her he himself would never know. Maybe it was the guilt he felt for losing her? Maybe it was the way his parents looked at him when he told them the news. Feeling bound to find her or to die trying.
With a new head full of thoughts his body stood up and began to walk. Tenebris’s paws placed themselves one before the other. Looking at the ground he did not know where he was going, he only knew that he had to go. Tenebris had tried to recreate that day in his head so many times to find her. Backtracking his steps to finally be able to move forward and move on with life. No such luck had found its way to him though. Trudging through the forest in a lazy and slow gate, it wasn’t until he heard a distant howl that danced on the winds. His ears perking to attention and his body rigid. Instantly his mind played a cruel trick upon him, making him think the howl was his long-lost sister. The hefty male lunged forwards and at full speed began to head for Whitetop Mountains. Coiled steel below his dark pelt thrust him forwards. He ran as if he were mad. Tenebris’s breath was heavy, puffs of small white clouds came from his agape mouth as the cool air began to lower itself the closer he came to the mountains.
The Alpha had finally reached the base of the mountains he had no idea which peak the howl had come from, so he did the only thing he could do, howl. Tilting his head all the way back Tenebris let out a strong song of a howl. Once he had run out of breath the male waited. His eyes and ears on full alert for an answer for him to follow. The icy wind whipped around him in a frozen current. Any normal wolf would have shivered at the cold touch, but Tenebris was too focused. He would wait for hours if he meant he could be reunited with his beloved sister. Unable to sit still any longer the male began to slowly trek the mountainside. Listening. Watching. Waiting. Every other step he would stop and listen, making sure he missed nothing.

{ } Her breath came out in small puffs as she looked around the mountains before her ears rotated to catch the sound of a distant howl. 'Interesting' she thought and she quickly turned and headed down a normal path she took up and down the mountain. Every so often she would pause to lift her nose to the air to catch a scent. Eventually, she caught the scent of a male. He wasn't the only one that she smelled though. A snow leopard was out and about as well but it was it ways from the male. She continued downward silently keeping to what shadows that were still about and being downwind of the male. Claws scraped over a rock as she made it to a small cave. It was long gone empty so she disappeared inside after letting out a sort of bark so the male would know how close she was. Her body easily engulfed the darkness of the cave despite her pristine fur color. Amber orbs watched the entrance silently and then she spoke. "Honestly, I hadn't thought I'd get a reply from someone." she spoke, her tone light yet somehow indifferent. Nyx wasn't one to approach others, not without good reason to so she waited for the male to appear first. MADE BY VEL OF GS

❝ Semper Paratus Always Prepared ❞
The higher Tenebris climbed the worse the wind was. Snapping around in quick lashes. Lifting his broad head into the air the male sniffed to catch any sign of a scent. So far nothing until the smell of a snow leopard crossed his nostrils. It was a faint smell but nonetheless there. He knew those creatures were more fight than talk and right now he was in no mood for a meeting with one. Tenebris’s one mission was to find the howl that he had heard upon the mountain. As he climbed the now steep hill his ears were brought to attention by a short bark out of a cavern he could barely see as the snow was hiding it. Making his way towards the hold in the mountain he heard a yowl of the cat. It was distant but closer than it was earlier. Tenebris grew closer to the cavern, his body relaxed and slightly shaken. Could it really be her? His thoughts ran wild with what he would say to her. He would most certainly tell her how sorry he was for not finding her sooner to bring her home.
Taking a deep breath the alpha stepped into the cavern. His ears at attention while his tail was loose. Even though he was an alpha, at this moment he seemed more of a subordinate. Like a pup. His tone was soft and low,” Brielle..?” Tenebris stood there for a moment as his breath grew heavy and ragged. His eyes searching for any sign of emotions and trying to make sense of everything. Standing there he waited for her to speak.

Nyxithea Table { } Her ears were at attention as she waited. Then he appeared and she had prepared herself to leap out toward him. 'Just walk on in why don't ya' she thought but she kept her body still. Brielle..? the name reached her ears and she slightly tilted her head. Without even thinking the words slipped from her mouth. "Your voice." she began with a teasing smirk, "sounds like somebody I once knew." Paws moved as she stood up and walked closer towards him. "But I'm no Brielle." she said bluntly and moved a bit into the light slipping quickly by the male. She half turned to jump to a rock and looked back saying "Name's Nyxithea" after fluffing her body out to make her look bigger though it was still clear she was petite. "Was she a friend or sister or...something?" she asked before sitting down after shaking some snow from a paw. If this Brielle was lost like her brother was then she knew what that felt like. She was still feeling guilty she had let 'that side' of her come out and against her own twin. Her expression turned painful for a brief moment before she spoke again, this time her tone quiet. "I meant no harm in what I said before. I apologize." MADE BY VEL OF GS

FORGIVE ME FATHER FOR I LIKE SIN ☼ Once inside the grotto, a small white fae sat before him. She looked exactly like his missing sister. But something else crept into his gut feeling he just couldn’t put a paw on it. It was then that she spoke of familiarity, but was soon turned into a cruel joke about his beloved sister. The teasing almost made him snarl at the female, he struggled to hold back the curling of his lips. There were many things Tenebris would just raise a brow and shrug over, but his sister was not a joking matter to him. Even the rest of his pack thought he was daft for the continuing of a pointless search. He had heard their whispers within the dark temple. Silvery eyes watched as the smaller body slide past him and jumped onto a rock before stating her name to be Nyxithea. It was then that his body changed and resumed his ranking. His tail curling up over his back and his body rigid. He was about to demand why she would act like his sister to him, but yet this she-wolf had no way of knowing his troubles. She then asked him if the fae he was looking for was his friend or sister, in a voice of calmness Tenebris spoke,” she is my lost sister.” With a sigh the large brute sat down, curling his tall about his paws. He was not expecting what happened next, the fae before him apologized about her first words to him. His eyes cut to the side as he spoke,’it’s alright.” Looking back to her he slightly tilted his head to the left,” may I ask your power?” He was curious as to what she could do.
I'll find a posting template that I like sooner or later!! XD

HORNS LIKE A DEVIL pointed at me NOWHERE TO RUN from the fire she breathes She didn't miss the way the male's body changed and instinctively, her ears went back slightly for a moment. As he answered her question she blinked silently and the only other reaction that could have given away that she knew something was her right ear rotating away but more so to catch the sound of the snow leopard's call which was now closer. This was it's domain and they weren't little kitties to try and scare off. Casually, her head turned to look downward of the rocks and snow carefully. Back to the matter at paw. Was it a mighty coincidence she had met his sister? How many wolves were in the world that had the name Brielle? Another thing was, how would she even know if the female was still alive. It had bee sometime since she had met the female. They had rested together and when morning had come, Nyx had found that she had already gone. "I'm sorry to hear that." she finally answered. Her head turned back from doing her little observing of her surroundings as the male now asked about her power. Now her head lifted slightly. She wasn't particularly favorable of saying what her power was. Not anymore that was. Honestly, she didn't like using her power unless it was for hunting down something to eat. Then again, she was far from home. No one knew who she was, and if they did. They hadn't showed it. "Shadow Cloaking." she answered eventually as if stating she didn't like the power. What the heck did she have to lose? Her life? She'd worry about it later. There was always a way to get out of a deadly situation. She stood up hopping to another rock saying "And what say you? Got a name?"

FORGIVE ME FATHER FOR I LIKE SIN ☼ Tenebris sat and lift a hind paw to scratch an itch behind his ear, shaking his head the large male tilted it at the sound of the yowling of a snow leopard. It had grown much closer than it was but a few moments ago. It was then he smelled it, this cavern belonged to the snowcat, and with wide eyes, he jumped to his paws. “We must leave here immediately”, whirling around he poked his head out of the mouth of the hole in the mountain,”if we do not leave here now we will surely have to fight for our lives. I’m not sure about you, but I am not in the mood for claws against my pelt.” Glancing back to her over his broad shoulder and then back out into the now easy falling snow. He could see a moving silhouette coming closer with a fresh kill locked between its jaws. Frantic he looked for another way, but nothing showed itself. Looking to the fae upon the rock he spoke quickly,”my name is Tenebris, alpha of the Erebos pack. Now we must hurry and run before the snow leopard gets here and has us with his meal.” Pacing pack to the cavern opening he waited, watching the cat and hoping for a break for the two to make a dash for it. Soon the silhouette stopped and Tenebris gave a small nudge to Nyxithea and then bolted,”follow me!” Coiled steel pushed him forwards but the snow was deeper than it was when he had first got here. Making his larger frame sunk a bit more than usual and creating a problem in his running. The snow leopard spotted them and gave a rather nasty sounding yowl as a warning. Having fresh kill the snowcat was more worried about food than the two passing bodies. Finally out of the deep snow and away from the leopard Tenebris slowed down, catching his breath. With a small chuckle and a unusual grin he looked up to his companion,”well, I hope we don’t have to ever do that again.” After getting ahold of his breath and slowly walking into the forest the brute spoke,”to answer your questions once more, I am the alpha of erebos, Tenebris and my power is Dark Aura. My sister's power was the same as yours.” Silvery eyes of lost hope looked to her, for he had been searching for so long. He had wanted so bad to believe this fae was her and that his search was over. Now he knew he would search for a lifetime to find her and fix what was broken. Sighing he turned those silvery eyes to the ground.

HORNS LIKE A DEVIL pointed at me NOWHERE TO RUN from the fire she breathes She didn't seem to worry too much about the leopard so she slightly grunted at his words. "Then you my friend, have not lived. World is fraught with horrible things that you have to fight against when it came to survival." she spoke puffing out her fur. Some would call her crazy and maybe she was. She was just a bit corrupted as far as assassins went. But she wouldn't fight back against the male's words any further as he introduced himself as an alpha. Didn't matter from what pack, Nyx always held alphas with a lot of respect. Her form moved closer to the mouth of the cave and when Tenebris gave the signal to run and she followed him downward at an even pace and more easily than him as he kept sinking further in snow. Upon reaching the forest below, she slowed and looked back over her shoulder slightly panting and then smirked as Tenebris spoke. "You kidding? Makes you feel alive in the morning is what my brother used to say." she slightly laughed. As he moved into the forest she followed curiously after him as he continued to speak. Wow, she knew that she and Brielle looked alike but to have the same power as well. "That's interesting." she answered with a slight pain in the back of her head as she stared at the ground for a moment. "...---look at this place!" she heard and saw bright colors all around her. Her eyes shut again and she shook her head clear, sitting down lifting a paw to her face. "Ow." she said squinting before looking back up to Tenebris. "Sorry, I...fell over a year ago and often have sharp headaches." she finished. « tag: Alpha Tenebris // notes: quite the confident female now isn't she xD »

FORGIVE ME FATHER FOR I LIKE SIN ☼ A rumble of a chuckle escaped his maw,”I am glad he would think so, but for a much heavier wolf it’s a work out.” Moving along he heard birds singing and off in the distance a stream that ran fast. He was thirsty and so that way he would head. A small grin pulled his lips up,”indeed, it is pretty interesting. Slightly odd, since you remind me so much of her.” It was then that he heard her say ow and then sit down. His ears perked at attention as she covered her face with a paw. Bending his head down to be level with her he spoke,”Nyxithea, what’s wrong?” His voice had a hint of worry laced within it as his brows knitted together. It was then that she explained about her fall and the sharp pains in her head. Tenebris lifted his head and sniffed, the stream wasn’t far and they would be there within no time. “Come, we will go to the stream, it’s over this hill and there we will rest”, turning he then walked on. “That must have been some nasty fall if you are still feeling it a year later”, his comment was spoken gently. He walked by her side just to be sure she didn’t get weak and fall over. His pace matching hers step for step as he kept glancing at her for any signs of pain. Every now and again lifting his head to sniff the air. Soon the duo arrived at the stream. Its water was dark but clean. Walking to the edge of the bank Tenebris bent down and lapped up some water before turning to look at the fae,” we can rest here for a bit before heading onwards to my temple.” He then laid down in a sunspot to warm his pelt.

HORNS LIKE A DEVIL pointed at me NOWHERE TO RUN from the fire she breathes She listened as he said that she reminded him so much of his sister and smirked. Honestly, she didn't know who she was. She didn't know her real name but she played on as being Nyxithea because it was the only name she knew. Actually, she had grown accustomed to the name. "Wish I could have met your sister then." she said with a smirk. When Tenebris mentioned a stream not far away she nodded at his next words. "I guess. But sometimes I...see things..." she started while walking beside him but shook her head slightly. "Tch...I sound crazy." the female mumbled as they made it to the stream and she happily got herself a drink before laying down and then she started to clean her right paw. Not that it was dirty, but the fact that it was a habit and that it felt dirty. And she always liked to keep her fur clean. Her brother and friend had called it a weird habit habit because she had never worried about her fur before when it came to tracking wolves down. Feeling that it was finally clean enough she laid her head on her paws looking at Tenebris briefly before saying "What's your pack, Erebos like, alpha Tenebris?" she spoke his title with a bit of a teasing smirk. "I'm guessing much different than what my family's was." « tag: Alpha Tenebris // notes: gotta love how she can be a respectful tease. xD »

FORGIVE ME FATHER FOR I LIKE SIN
Tenebris rolled to his back, front paws now in this air as the sun rays warmed his belly. Stretching his body he laid his head as far back as it would go. His ears perking at her words that she wished to meet his sister. A small grin slightly pulled at his maw,” she was something else. If she were to be here she would be one of my most trusted and loyal. She stood for the weak. Defended our pack with a ferocity like no other. Brielle was a wolf to be loved and feared within the same amount.” His silver orbs turned to the skies above them both, wondering where his beloved sister was. Giving Nyx a raised brow look as she said she seemed aloof. “I’ll tell you a secret, all the best wolves are crazy”, his voice rumbled into a chuckle as he spoke the words to pick on her. After a moment of silence and he had closed his eyes, the ebony ears of the brute turned to his company as she asked him about his pack. Rolling back to his side so we could face her his voice was slightly monotone,” my pack is one of pride and honor. We take our duties seriously. The pack is always first before oneself. All wolves protect the pack as a unit and we are a close group.” A chuckle caught in his throat,”I know many others speak of me as a tyrant and iron pawed, but that’s the front I want them to see. One of a mechanical unit and a well-oiled machine. I want those that are not within our ranks to think we are to be feared and respected. I know that may seem wrong of me, but it has kept our pack from going to war with other packs for centuries.” He shrugged,”tell me how different my pack is from yours.” Sitting up Tenebris lifted his hind left paw to scratch an itch behind his ear as he waited for a response.

HORNS LIKE A DEVIL pointed at me NOWHERE TO RUN from the fire she breathes Her head tilted as Tenebris explained about his sister and she smirked a little. She sounded like a good friend to have. Nyx didn't know how she was supposed to be. Oddly, she felt like a killer sometimes but that was she was before she left home. Now that she wasn't there anymore...well..she didn't know who she was supposed to be. Her eyes drifted back to the male as he spoke about all the best wolves were crazy and she couldn't help the smile and chuckle that left her. She supposed that was true. When he started speaking about his pack she gave a little nod in understanding. Erebos sounded like a good pack to be in and she somehow wished she had been able to be in it instead of where she had thought was her home. Nyx glanced at the stream briefly as she was asked about her own pack. "Ha, where to start?" she smirked thinking. "Since I lost my memory my brother had to remind me a bit. My pack used to only the males be the brute force of the pack, females were mostly hunters, a few scouts maybe and mainly mothers And we couldn't leave he pack. But after our leaders past and our Beta stepped up to the position, he changed it to where anybody could be whatever rank they chose. Though, you were bound to that rank for life and you couldn't leave the pack under any reason." Her eyes seemed distant as she spoke. "My brother, Zalathus, our friend Felix and I became Sentinels. Best of the pack really. If we weren't spying we were tracking down wolves that decided to abandon the pack." She shook her head slowly "It took me a while to see what was wrong with the pack, some type of sickness was going around and wolves were wanting to get away from it. When I tried to tell Zal and Felix they both said it wasn't our job to worry about it. Eventually, I had had enough of it...so I left. Even if I knew both of them would have to track me down..." She trailed off not wanting to continue on. She didn't know what had become of the rest of her "family" since she left.

FORGIVE ME FATHER FOR I LIKE SIN ☼ Sitting in an upright position Tenebris silver eyes made a quick scan of the area they were in before training them on his company in front of him. She spoke of her birth pack in how she was grand friends with two males and how they all were Sentinels of the pack. Just then it was like a smack to the back of his head, she could be his Sentinel. The Erebos pack had just lost one and they were in need of a replacement. The former wolf that held that place was now an elder who was sick. His thoughts had come back to their conversation as she spoke of the males that would be tracking her, and although he knew she could take care of herself, there was always safety in numbers. He could protect her if she’d let him. Nodding his head as she also stated about a sickness within their pack,”you got out before it could infect you correct?” His voice was still gentle as she asked her about the sickness and her health. She didn’t smell of sickness, had she, he would have left her where she stood in the cavern. Tenebris would never put his pack in jeopardy of sickness or harm, so long as he could help it.
At the sound of her tailing off, Tenebris could tell that’s all she wished to tell him for now. Clearing his throat before speaking in an authoritative tone and standing,”well, I have an offer for you then. Come and live within my lands and temple. Be my leading Sentinel. Be a part of something great again. You shall be treated with respect and nothing less. You won’t have to wander alone anymore. A warm place to sleep and plenty of food within your belly and you shall only answer to me.” He was silent for a split moment before speaking in a little less demanding tone,”if you wish to take a day or so to overthink such things then they are yours to think with.” Tenebris meant every word he spoke. She would be a great asset to his pack and a loyal member of Erebos. He could just feel it within his gut. Standing there, he waited for her answer, should she agree the two would continue onwards towards his temple. If she denied him he’d leave her where she lay. If she wished to think upon it, then they would continue to the temple. He would give her the chance to see his pack and how things worked. So she would have things to go off of.

HORNS LIKE A DEVIL pointed at me NOWHERE TO RUN from the fire she breathes She looked up as Ten asked if she got away from it in time and she nodded. "Oh yes." she answered honestly. She, Zalathus and Felix were constantly having to track wolves that left the pack so that had to play a role in it too, if she hadn't gotten sick. "I'm as strong as an elk!" she said with a proud smile and playful wink. 'Or at least I hope I am. Besides my memory being amiss...' she thought to herself casually and then her attention returned as he made an offer. She blinked listening to everything he said carefully. Was she ready to join a pack? She hadn't really thought about it but the offer was pretty good. She'd only have to answer to him and she could do what she loved again. She had missed her purpose but then again she didn't want to be consumed by it like she had in the beginning like back at home. Ten said he understood if she wanted to think it over or decline. With that also now in mind she stood up stretching her body saying "Now how can I decline such an offer as that?" Waving her tail she dipped her head saying "I'd be honored to have such a place again, alpha Tenebris."
